The Neowin article describes two ways to access the Bitlocker key: via your MS account and via work/school account. I recommend taking a peek at the article.

MS has detailed the steps to create a Bitlocker key backup, and that's in the article as well.

I saw this article and copy/pasted the whole thing into a WORD document for safe keeping. With all the MS hype about needing a current CPU for Windows 11, now they want to turn on Bitlocker by default, even on the Home version. This will slow some systems to a crawl. I have always used the Pro version of Windows for advanced networking and Group Policy, but I have never turned on Bitlocker, and won't start now. Thank you very much Microsoft!

Just wait until this fall when folks begin to upgrade. I can already see the nightmares beginning!

Indeed. The echoes of future screams.

My best advice? Buy stock in Excedrin. You'll retire to Vanuatu or Phuket and never think about a computer again, unless it's a Mac.
