Ramblings of an old Doc

Remember them. It’s about those great activities we’re all doing with the ones we love, today…and it’s about so much more.

Let’s be grateful…my dad would always put a paper plate with a hot dog and a beer at an empty place at the table on this day. When I was old enough to be curious, I asked why. He told me…and I never forgot.

Thank them this day, for all the other days.

Thank them this day, for all the other days
And for the days so many of them didn't get to walk this Earth in the name of freedom.

Our family was lucky. I had 5 Uncles who served in WWII(Navy and Marines) and my Dad was in Korea. They all came home.

33 Diggers who fell in Vietnam are just now being returned home.

Back in that pathetic 60s and 70s that non-war saw anyone who died [from Australia] had better have a family with money...as they had to pay the cost of returning them home.

Some of us remember them.

Jafo...that's just sickening. Allies take care of allies...inexcusable they weren't sent home by the MAC.
