Ramblings of an old Doc

One of my fave websites (gHacks.net) owner has produced quite an extensive review and comparison of available software to modify W10’s data collection and bad features like Wi-Fi sharing.

It was nice of Martin Bormann to include urls and screenies…as well as a table of comparisons.

All these programs have to be run with “Elevated Status” (as Administrator) or the changes you make won’t be applied.

A very good “take away” is to make a backup and Restore Point before mucking around with these settings.

If the Windows feedback app bothers you, here's a way to disable the annoyance: http://www.ghacks.net/2016/01/19/how-to-disable-windows-feedback-on-windows-10/?_m=3n%2e0038%2e1811%2ehj0ao01hy5%2e1vug

Hehe, now all you have to do is remember that you saved the link.... AND where.

As for Win 10, well I won't comment there, but I am thankful for the great job you do, Doc, especially when so many members benefit from the gems you discover.

Keep up the good work, matey.

Yep.  thanks for the review Doc.

I'm using Do Not Spy, easy to set up and it explains all tweaks.
