Good app…install it, but then:
- Close all browsers
- Create a system restore point
- Click on the refresh button after opening the program
The program identifies all toolbars, extensions and plug-ins as well as their path. You can then select and remove one or more at one go.
Important: All the tool bars, extensions and plug-ins’ boxes are checked by default so you have to remove the checks in whatever you wish to keep!
Once you’ve done that, click “Remove” and it/they are really gone. No remnants left over.
Additional plus? you can choose a skin for it (there are 11 choices) - AMPix, iTunes, Android, Bionix, GPX, iPhone, Metal, MSOffice 2010, Ubuntu, VIPZone, and Xfactor.
There’s also an ignore list if you wish to keep anything safe from “cleaning” errors in the future.
The Ignore list already includes My Toolbar, and Soft$Boost Toolbar…which you might wish to remove from the “Ignore” whitelist.
If you need support, you can email their support team directly from the “About” section.
Also, if you have WOT, you’ll get a warning for this site. Not sure why, because I found nothing wrong with my BitDefender.
Also, it’s an .exe file, so “install” won’t use a drop od drive space…and it’s therefore, portable (special for the Wiz).
