Looks great. I'll check it out. Thanks for posting.

Looks/feels/works rather much like Total Commander (aka Norton Commander).......

I think Multi Commander's is more functional just judging from screenies...

Side by side panels can make many of the alternative file managers look very similar, though. The functionality is huge in Multi Commander, and it is free.

And portable. Thanks, Doc!.

My Directory Opus has expired and was waiting for a deal but, whoa, this looks like it can do the job.   Thanks Doc

Portable, yes. Thank you.

You're all very welcome.

Well, Doc, you old fossicker, you, another gem has been fossicked from the net and looks like it will fit the bill perfectly.

I had used another freebie file manager but it was too clunky and sometimes froze during operations.... so it got tossed.

Put it this way, if this one does all that's on that list, then I shall be happy.  Thanks for sharing.

[BTW, I was gonna call you an 'old scavenger, you', being that you're always on the prowl for new software/gadgets, but that sounded so predatory it didn't do justice to the sweet old fart we know you to be... hence the 'fossicker.]

Sure wish I could find the download link on the webpage.

Now, if it had a viewer panel...like Dopus, Powerdesk,  [and others]

Don't understand what you mean by "viewer panel", Jafo.

It's extremely customizable...if you mean a "Picture Viewer", it's on their screenshots page: http://multicommander.com/screenshots

Doc...look at Dopus [and the others] they have a 'viewer' built-in that displays the images...or plays the mp3s/movies etc without loading an external proggy or separate window....

In my DOpus, I have to choose "Images" from a drop down menu...

In Multi Commander there's "Select Images" (crappy spelling in the screenie, though):

Love it. Can't find where to save settings though.
