Ramblings of an old Doc

I love Adobe Ps. I make no bones about it.

Many more folks would try their hand at it if they learned it from fundamentals…not just memorizing how to do something, but understanding the theory and then going about solving a problem…that’s the real fun.

Anyway, Bryan O’Neil Hughes (Senior Photoshop Product Manager) has put together a bunch of tutorials on ways to do things…it’s excellent, so I thought I’d take some and pass the plate around the table.

Here’s the Playbook episode listing so far. Hope he does more!

I just have to add this here.

I'm always looking to learn even at my age. Been looking at some of these videos and saw that some of them I already know how to do. Saying that, these are showing me much faster ways to get the same end result. There are steps I can eliminate that really saves time. Now I have plenty of time being retired but who wouldn't want to get things done quicker so more can be done in whatever time frame that is available. Pretty cool really.

Dave, makes me happy to read that. Truly.

thanks doc...  ideally it's raining today so not beach weather.... photoshop weather...

have just sampled a few at random at the moment.... the lens flare one is good... new black layer... add your flare...screen mode... and can adjust your flare to suit.... so simple... great tips... thanks again.

some of these guys really get into it, with all the indepth knowledge they have... I know there are golf widows... I'm guessing there are photoshop widows as well... it's an addiction...

Thanks for compiling that list!  I'm just starting to play around with photography, so this will really help.  I'm in awe of what Lightroom can do for photos I thought were beyond hope, but Photoshop has been too intimidating for me tackle so far.

These videos will help me get my feet wet.
