Ramblings of an old Doc

It’s free, it’s easy…anyone can ‘optimize’ or manipulate any image with it.

The software works with every Windows OS. No special talent required…it’s nothing like Photoshop…or Lightroom. It has a limited number of adjustments and some presets, like instagram.

The controls are simple…an explorer to open the images, crop, rotate, contrast and brightness and change width or height of the image in the top row to the right of the image. Below that the presets (I applied “Rainbow”) and below that, there are the ‘depth of field’ which will apply a vignette in an oval or square both dark, one lighter than the other. No light or feathered vignettes. Then there’s the ‘Frame type’ and there are seven (a fair selection).

Then you can choose to overwrite the old files and use predefined frames.

As I said, Ps and Lr it isn’t, but free it is and if you don’t know how to create effects for images, it’s fine.

You can get it free here: http://www.exeone.com/vintager

teddybearcholla, you might have a toolbar issue or perhaps an actual infection of your computer, as the link works for me

Barb, I would never put up a "problematic" link. I check everything out, and played with the software also...as for why you're getting warnings? What AV are you using? I don't think you have a viral/malware infection, though.

I really didn't think you would Seth...just thought I'd mention what my Nortons said.....         No no virus or anything, just a cranky AV sometimes!

Norton being Norton.

ah, the INFAMOUS norton(sillymentek) VIRUS problem (claims to be an anti virus BUT lets (and perhaps invites) virii into the computer).

personally I am currently using avast, and several of my customers are using avg, and even a few are using avira, and the richest are using kaspersky, but NONE are using norton

Thank you for the good thoughts, harpo and for the grin you gave me on this dreary Saturday morning!
