This is data and application moving transfer software…and it’s free. It has pluses and minuses.

Its features:

• Easily transfer data and application like music, document, picture etc from old PC to a new one without involving much effort.
• Easy to use and understand as the user interface of the software is very simple and impressive.
• Secure and reliable as it does not cause any harm to the new PC and old PC remains undamaged.
• No technical knowledge needed to use the application.
• 7 X 24 free service is available that can attend and solve any of your queries.

You have to have it installed on both systems: The one sending and the one receiving.

The limitations? Well it’s the free version so you can transfer all the data, pictures, music you want…but only two applications and it really isn’t a ‘click and poof, it’s done’ app. Worse? There isn’t a trial ‘Pro’ edition: You purchase the code to free up those features in the free edition, and it’ll cost you $39.95. You can see a features comparison HERE.

In summary, this isn’t bad but it isn’t great either. The free version limits you to 2 apps to transfer only. It isn’t clear whether that’s total or at any given session and if moving more would require initiating an additional, subsequent session. That could become tedious rather quickly.

If you’re only interested in moving only data, music, images, links and the like, this is good software. Just remember, it was made in China so care should be given as to what data you wish to move and whether you want to install software from there given the security concerns. Together with that, there is no proof this is in any way compromised.

There are other utilities which do the same thing: PCTransfer , PCMover Express (not worth it), PickMeApp (comes with additional, unnecessary additional software which you can reject).

As always, before installing ANYTHING on your computer:

1. Do your own research about the software.

2. Determine your need.

3. Create a restore point in case anything goes wrong during the installation.

4. If you haven’t done a backup within the past week, do one. It’s painless and saves quite a bit of regret.

5. Always choose "Custom" or "Advanced" installation if offered. That will allow you to view whether the software comes in a wrapper with toolbars, home page and search engine switchers or other software/Adware you might not want.
