Nice article with a ‘how to’ regarding the Windows Cleanup Tool for W7.x and 8.x. The Windows Update Cleanup feature is designed to help you to regain valuable hard disk space by removing bits and pieces of old Windows updates that are no longer needed.

Thanks, I didn't ever see the clean up for the Windows update. Maybe because I use CCleaner all the time the size wasn't very large only about 7 megs, After I cleaned it went down to 2 megs. I would never notice this small amount but I do like to keep my system as clean as possible so any files that aren't used I can get rid of are good for me.

Seems like I'm having a Deja Vu moment Dr, I would swear you did a thread on this several months ago when this first showed up in a Windows update. I've had the item ticked in Disk Cleanup for awhile. Maybe it wasn't you. None the less it is a good option to clean out bits and pieces on the HD.

Sometimes I recycle things as most don't remember what and when I write about tools. That (by the way) was distributed in the October 2013 MS Patch Tuesday.
