Ramblings of an old Doc

Not a great launch. Apparently some 33% of verified reviewers on Amazon are noting a pulsing blue light signifying a “BSOD” situation. There are no verified numbers of units affected.

A rumor about possible sabotage by Foxconn interns has been making the rounds (it has been around on IGN forums then removed) has been verified as a genuine post, although he veracity of the claim has not. The sabotage (if it was that) was thought to be due to working conditions at Foxconn, which first surfaced in connection with Apple products and suicides by Foxconn workers.

Anyway, if you bought a PS4 and it isn’t working, I found a link which gives several possible solutions:

I hope it helps… good luck!

Sony has published a guide to fix the problem:

Other than games I do not buy anything upon release. That's starting to happen with games as well.

In just a couple of years we've gone from "expect perfect launches, cry if not" to "most launches fail, wait a month or two". Way to go, corporations. No more pre-orders and no more 0-day purchases.

I'm sure glad I don't play games. What a PITA!
