A quickie… for those who might need it, Acronis True Image 2014 is available at

BitsDuJour today at discount: Instead of $49.99, 29.99 (US).

For those wodering…Acronis is the gold standard of backup software….and this is a good price.

Remember:

As always:

1. If you don’t need it, leave it.

2. Check out pro reviews before deciding.

3. Create a restore point before downloading and installing. Check the download URL by mousing over it.

4. Choose the “Advanced User” option not the “Typical” to prevent installing toolbars, etc.

5. Have a good weekend!

Acronis is good. Currently, I'm enjoying the EaseUs To Do Workstation you hooked me up with, Doc!

I can also highly recommend True Image.  Using it now for my nightly image backups.  Need to spend a little time exploring the options to get it right but it is set-it-and-and-forget-it once you do.

Only 'drawback' I've encountered is that it won't make USB hard drive backups bootable; only flash drives and CD/DVD media can be made so.
