Ramblings of an old Doc

MS decided to put out 10 new themepacks to honor W8.1’s release.

he themes have some truly beautiful photography and the subjects? Beaches, Sunny Shores, Small and Large Birds, Muscle Cars, Classic Sports Cars, Scenic Europe, Color Splashes and even Wild Animals for Dual Screens. Missed one: An Xbox One Game (World of Ryse)

They’re really beautiful…well worth taking a look, and you can even inspect the walls before downloading.

Not that I’m using W8.1, but I really liked the walls they released with the themepacks. So, how to get the walls without the ‘themes?

Luckily, the old way of extracting the walls using 7-Zip works like a charm! Just choose the folder named “Desktop Backgrounds” from inside the themepack and copy it to wherever you keep your walls. You’ll have to rename it to something else if you plan to download and copy more than one as they’re all named the same (Desktop Background).

Enjoy!

Checked 'em all out Doc and only the themepack for dual monitors can be used with W8.1 only. At the bottom of all the others it says the themes can be used with W7 Home premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate editions. Not that I'd give up mine WB's for them. Uh uh...not happenin'. Lol

I explained the method to extract the wallpapers from the themes assuming people would prefer their Windowblinds to any MS vanilla, Uvah.

I assumed one can choose a wallpaper to use with W8/8.1. If not its desirability level just dropped below the belly of a pregnant ant.

There are some beautiful pictures in there. Thanks.

Good one Doc. Who would want to have vanilla when they can have Neopolitan.

Guessing you didn't bother to read the OP completely:

Helps if you read the whole thing before commenting, StephanA.
