Great photography, art, business courses for free as webinars.
All you have to do is register, and that’s free too! http://www.creativelive.com/
Doc - I took a glance. Looks interesting. Anything to add? Have you done some of these? Anything worth mentioning? How'd you find this? Let's say I sign up for 1 of these - how does that go? If you've done any, I'd love to hear some feedback. Thanks!
There are people who happily provide free resources merely for the benefit of the world, you know. From freeware programs, to freeware shows, to social justice and humanitarian campaigns. There are a lot of us out there, and the number will only increase as time as we know it goes on!
Brother pacov:
I've written 10 articles (including this one) about programs on cL.
I've done "Deep Dives", Ps Week...you name it!
I love it to pieces. I have fave teachers: Lesa Snider, Ben Willmore, Dave Cross and Khara Plicanic. These folks are simply fantastic. Great teachers. If you miss one, there's generally a rebroadcast same day.
You sign up from the home page upper right hand corner, or if you choose a course to enroll in, you can do it from the enroll button. It's painless. It's free. You can buy prior courses, or during a broadcast, say you like a course...there's generally a big discount.
Send me a picture of yourself or someone you like, and I'll show you some of what I've learned...
Seriously? If there's a pic you want me to fix up, or improve...I'll do my best.
Question answered?
Here's a little fun thing I made for a great guy (starkers) whose name is Mark:
And here's one (of many) I did on the RedneckDude:
Before the "Deep Dive CS5", I knew absolutely nothing about how to use (and misuse) Photoshop.
"You have mail."
pacov... as doc said... Creative Live is excellent... have done a number of the courses.... doc put me onto them long ago.... I watch the reruns as I'm in Sydney, Oz... and suits my times better... I put my sister-in-law onto them, she is in Seattle, and is now a regular member of the audience and has learnt heaps... she is starting her own photography business and website... they have been invaluable to her....
good for photo restoration too...
old pic of my grandfather... looking much better...
Nice work, syd!
Cool - I'm going to bookmark this and take a look. Thanks!
