Ramblings of an old Doc

ZeroVulnerabilityLab has been purchased by Malwarebytes, and is still freeware.

What is it? It is software designed to protect the user against Zero-Day threats.

So, after the purchase, Malwarebytes released a beta which is pretty much the same as the original and has the new branding with some improvements.

What isn’t the same?

"[There’s no]... “Please close all applications protected by Exploit-Shield”, and no required closing your browser/s either (nicely played, Malwarebytes)." - Download.com

There might be more, but the blog at Malwarebytes has remained silent on the subject.

If I were you, I’d pick it up now…because it’s next release might be as part of a “paid” package.

If you wish to read about the software and what it does, try here: Link at c|net. A less favorable review, based on logic concluding that MS’s EMET is more trustworthy because its engineers discuss how it works can be found here: LINK.

Malwarebytes might have larger plans for this software, by expanding its heuristic behavior. Only time will tell.

This looks quite interesting. I'll give it a whirl.

I haven't seen any notices that it's incompatible with EMET 2, btw. So, you could have both and they do work differently.

Should have put this in the OP.

You still can.
