Ramblings of an old Doc

Bravo for The Windows Club!

I am now the proud owner of the the above error codes and their meanings.

It’s a pdf having 533 pages and links from MS that will help you find the meanings of any error code.

“It may amuse you to learn that Microsoft appears to have an error code even if the operation completes successfully! Check what it says for 0×00000000 : The operation completed successfully!” – TWC

You should also take advantage of the “Events and Errors Message Center” which is here:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/ee_advanced.aspx

You too can have your very own 533 page pdf of MS error codes by going here:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/E/95EF66AF-9026-4BB0-A41D-A4F81802D92C/%5BMS-ERREF%5D.pdf

For those of us who actually relate to the error codes, this is a great resource. This is of course not for yrag… I think he has it embedded.

A good reason to keep XP around. Try to collect all 533 pages of errors.

BTW, if you use Portable Apps, there is a Windows Error Lookup Tool available for that platform. You can download or get more info from HERE.

If you've never tried Portable Apps, and you have a flash drive laying around in a drawer somewhere, give PA a look, there are some very handy apps available. I'm running Chrome Portable and it works great.

Wiz.... those apps for flash drives - maybe let's restart (or continue) with Apps Central?  https://forums.wincustomize.com/411705

Great idea Doc.  I had forgotten about that one. Consider that thread bumped.
