Ramblings of an old Doc

Just caught an interesting headline: “Exclusive: Unmasking the World’s Most Wanted Hacker” here:

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/03/06/exclusive-unmasking-worlds-most-wanted-hacker/

Hector Xavier Monsegur is alleged to be “Sabu The Elephant Boy”, the head of Lulzsec. He was arrested during the summer of 2011 by the FBI after he was “doxed” (identified) online. Apparently he’s a 28 year old unemployed computer programmer living on the lower east side in Manhattan.

He has plead guilty to a dozen hacking related and computer crime charges.

Sad, really. With his knowledge and skills, he could have worked for big bucks in IT Security. Instead he lived in poverty on public assistance and identity theft.

I must be really old, folks. I just don’t get it….

Oh yes. As expected, he informed on his "colleagues", which resulted in more arrests across two continents, today.

"Agents across two continents arrested two of LulzSec‘s alleged top hackers on Tuesday morning, along with a member of the larger hacking collective Anonymous. Law enforcement also slapped new charges on two LulzSec members who were already behind bars, Fox News reports.

Of course this is not representative of what today's societies produce as productive individuals................or is it?

Just another criminal. He should be in prison.  The sad part of all this is the lack of justice.

Only the crime is new, scumbags aren't.

This term popped into my head: "Disenfranchised"

This term popped into my head: "Disenfranchised"

Or, self disenfranchised? Dave, I don't think this as something which was done to him. He did the doing. I don't see him as a "victim". He's the perpetrator.

The possibility exists that he was always in the employ of the FBI, or some such agency as yet unknown (*note the word possibility). The precedence for that subterfuge was set more than a hundred years ago in the US. And up till the current day, subterfuge remains a well used tool in the arsenal of those dark agencies tasked to create opportunity for private interests.  If you doubt this and are unaware of the heinous things done in the name of manifest destiny, research the United Fruit Company ++.

As relates to the alleged operation against Lulzsec: It struck me as odd last year, how perfectly the well publicized rash of recent hackings coincided with the renewed vigor towards an "internet kill switch". Then SOPA and more. And it's odd how these hacktivist groups so frequently attack users. A painless way to impose restrictions on ones freedom, is to scare them into asking for it. There is much more could be said. More red flags to share. But I know those who ponder these possibilities are already aware of the potential for misinformation in this case. And those lacking a cohesive understanding of this nations history, will likely lulz this post as tin foil hat conspiracy talk.

I think of disenfranchised as a condition more than an action ---> victim.  Maybe I've misused it, don't know, not going to worry about it.

on Mar 06, 2012

WhiteElk, yes, I think that is a bit of a tin foil hat conspiracy.  Maybe possible, but I find it, like most conspiracies to be far from probable.

Not to disagree Lord Xia but history is well on its to repeating itself.....again. Thousands of years of history they have access to and still they can't get it right!

Nothing like sinking ships....

on Mar 06, 2012

If loose lips can sink ships, I suppose rats can as well.

But this is all suspect to me. The potential is high for this to be a crafted guise. And beyond it all, I simply don't take at face value what agencies of my government report. My distrust of gov began long ago, and it didn't just happen out of the blue. It took time to move away from blind trust.

We've recently been heavily assuaged with officialdom lies and mainstream media misinformation. It amazes me to watch live, a peaceful protest with thousands of participants be attacked by the authorities, then have the msm portray the event as being a couple hundred anarchists rioting. The are brazen in their lies despite the truth being available via live online streaming. They know the masses are disinterested in investing any time towards truth. Yet still gov crafts documents which obfuscate the definition of terrorism, while attempting to gain power to censor the internet to protect us from terrorism.

I've seen so much of this purposeful, carefully crafted misdirection these last 6 months to not have seen the filthy pattern. It just goes on and on. Like here at my local Occupy in Seattle. The camp moved to a college located in a rough neighborhood. Long before the camp arrived low lifes were shitting in the streets and dumping their hypodermic needles along the sidewalks. There were rapes and fights, and all sorts of drunken drugged ill behaivors. Then the camp moves in, and all the local papers say its the Occupiers doing this. Forgetting that this crap went on long before, and will continue long after the camp is disbanded. And ignoring that the rapes and violence decreased. They whined about the homeless element, saying nothing of how these people were being feed, sheltered, and how some were making good for themselves by getting their shit back together with the help of their caring neighbors. And they talk of the trash, but ignore that it is far worse at the end of every Seahawks game or any other community gathering of so called upstanding citizens. They tweak a story to discredit a social movement. It sickens me how they meddle. It angers me how they limit our participation in democracy. And I've grown outright irate over their attempts to limit our freedom of assembly and our sharing of information.

Bah humbug the oligarchy

on Mar 06, 2012

I agree that what local, state and fed gov are doing to the occupiers is fucked up.

on Mar 06, 2012

OK.... I'm going to be the Official tinfoil-hat supplier to all those people on the net with the name 'WhiteElk' [and derivatives].

Kindly note this is to be a MONOPOLY as I wish to be not just famous for 15 minutes....but filthy rich within that time, too.

I am also certain this is all about - across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.

....or not.....
