Ramblings of an old Doc

“Happy Valentine’s Day” from MS, only the theme isn’t ‘hearts and flowers’. It’s ‘remote code execution’.

MS states there will be many fixes for IE, and for every version of it’s several OS’s, including XP, so browsing in XP as well as OS XP will be safer as well. There are no .NET updates.

There will be nine security bulletins “Critical”: Four, and “Important”": Five. The fixes will remove vulnerabilities of the browser to take overs from hackers. According to infoweek, most of the fixes are aimed at Windows Server 2008.

It’s really important to do these patches since hackers are shifting rapidly to browser based attacks according to security experts.

On other fronts, Google Wednesday addressed 20 problems in Chrome, one of which was critical (update to Chrome 17.0.963.46).

And a Happy Valentine’s Day to all.

Yeah, forget hearts and flowers, 'cause nothing gets a girl a girl hot and sweaty like remote code execution. Thanks MS!
