Ramblings of an old Doc

It’s free and it’s a powerful suite which can help fix, improve performance, speed up and maintain your computer.

Key features:

  • Automatic care in background;
  • Optimize, clean and boost the speed of your Windows;
  • Protect your privacy and security;
  • Block spyware, trojans, adware, etc.;
  • Fix certain application errors;

To see all its contents, navigate to http://www.glarysoft.com/products/utilities/glary-utilities-pro/

There are other free ones… and many prefer to have separate tools for each thing… whatever. Has a nice, simple interface.

I wish it came in a portable version… that way you could stick it on a usb flash memory device and run it as needed and not worry about a loss if your system crashes, as you will since this is a “Giveaway of the day”.

Download and install it, then double click the “Activate.exe”

This one comes without any toolbars. At the end of the "Activate.exe" make sure nothing is checked (which is the default on all the "Actiate.exe" the site uses.

Time left on offer: 19 hrs 57 min. from time of publication of article.

Just came away from the site Doc. Downloaded it and as it turns out has the same build number as the one I already had installed, version 2.41.0138. Unfortunately its the thirty day trial version. Want to use it longer? Forty bucks. When the trial runs out I'll just re-install the one I already have. lol

Oh ... and once you activate it it'll ask you if you want to install giveawayoftheday toolbar and change your search engine to theirs and for a change the check boxes aren't pre-selected.

No, Uvah. There were no toolbars. Also, I suspect you didn't activate it correctly. As for the version? If you have it already, fine.

There's always a "Readme.txt" and if you follow the instructions, you get the utility and nothing else. Also, mine says noting about "trial version" which is why I suspect yours didn't activate correctly. I'd uninstall it and clean the registry of its keys and then reinstall and activate.

Here's the Readme.txt:

"Installation

Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and install the software by running Setup.exe,
then run the activation program Activate.exe which is included in the package to register your copy.

NB: if you are a Vista OS user you will probably need to run Setup.exe and Activate.exe in the name of administrator on the PC.

You have to install and activate it before the Giveaway offer for the software is over.

Terms and conditions

Please note that the software you download and install during
the Giveaway period comes with the following important limitations:
1) No free technical support
2) No free upgrades to future versions
3) Strictly non-commercial usage"

That toolbar thing is at the end of the Activate.exe, and you don't have to tic any of those choices to get the software to work. I added a sentence to my post to make everyone aware of it, but nothing is chosen in there in the default mode and will only install that if you check (tic) the options.

Another great find Doc! Thanks! I'll be curious how it compares to CCleaner and Wise.

I'll give it a shot.

Bump....[cos I deleted a second one] redundancy is unneeded and not necessary and you don't have to have it....

Banned for being redundant...Oh wait, wrong thread, and that would make 3 ban threads, and that almost certainly would be redundant.
