Ramblings of an old Doc

gHacks has just published this giveaway. The great thing about is (yes, free and unlimited) but it’s very easy to use without having to worry about frame rate, etc. as M. Brinkmann points out in his excellent review here:

http://www.ghacks.net/2011/12/19/hd-video-converter-factory-pro-3-review-giveaway/?_m=3n%2e0038%2e373%2ehj0ao01hy5%2edls

The software has a dark interface, and offers up essentially any file type to any file type conversion with a nice progress window, “But wait! That’s not all!”. It has a cropping feature that can remove black frames from the vid on the fly.

There’s a User Guide on the Dev’s site as well.

Per Mr. Brinkmann:

Verdict

HD Video Converter Factory Pro 3 is an easy to use video converter that can convert nearly any file into a different format. All it takes is a few clicks to get started. Advanced users have sufficient options at their disposal to customize video outputs.

Giveaway

Wonderfox Soft was nice enough to provide us with unlimited HD Video Converter Factory Pro 3 licenses. You can download the program on the giveaway site. There you also find the registration name and license code.

I agree, and a “thank you” from me as well.

Looked interesting but it won't accept the registration. I followed the instructions to the letter several times. but it comes back invalid...uninstalled and tried again. Turns out I had dl'd the Free version, which allows upgrades, but won't work with this giveaway.

Make sure you get the Pro version on download and the registration works fine.

Thanks for finding this one, Doc.  Am testing it out now [got a few aircraft avi's that'd go better on DVD]...

Thanks for this. Their other software looks interesting as well.

The first link in Doc's post is to the free, non-pro version. http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/free-hd-video-converter/

This is the link to the Pro version available free. (confusing, isn't it?) http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/hd-video-converter/

The second one is the one you want. The first one will upgrade but not register.

The first link was to the features. Gremlins put it there. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
