Ramblings of an old Doc

The good Lantec has sent in an excellent tip he noticed for WC’ers.

Google Gmail Labs announced:

“Today we’re excited to graduate three more features from the experimental testing ground of Gmail Labs. Superstars, Nested Labels, and Advanced IMAP Controls are now first-class citizens in the Gmail world, thanks largely to your feedback. We’re also retiring the Google Search box lab which was redundant with the “Search the Web” button that’s already in Gmail.” – GmailBlog

Superstars are really very useful for just about everyone. Nested labels are excellent, especially if you get lots of family email. This really helps organize and prioritize… you really don’t want to forget Granny’s email *think Christmas. Advanced imap controls help concentrate your mail and clean the account it’s coming from. Say goodbye to the Google Search Box Lab.

Interesting google developments indeed.

Yet, when I think Christmas, I don't necessarily think about granny or other family members (since I think of them always and everyday), but instead, I think about the rest of the zombies who without their knowledge or implicit will take part in this mithraic ritual called Christmas.  That alone brings me great sadness.

Can I get an Ameen(Ra)?

I take it you don't like Christmas. That's fine. to each his own.

Uvah,

I don't like Mithrasmas, to be clear, but to have [Christ] + [mas] fused as one proper word would essentially go against all his teachings.

But I happen to like google.

The thinkers at google --those who test and create and do the work-- are quite talented to say the least.

But to have the great Nobel fiction writer, Al Gore, as a senior adviser to google does puzzle me from time to time.

Could you all stick to the topic in the OT? What I stuck in about that holiday was in jest.... you know? A little smile?

C'mon JB, give Uvah a break.  If he had mentioned instead that christmas was his favorite holiday, would you still have replied the same way?

-.-
