Ramblings of an old Doc

Just a ‘quickie’, folks.

Found two nice FREE image converter on the web. Faststone Image converter. Trustworthy name, and iResizer.

This version of Faststone is from 4/28/2010.

Features (per Faststone):

“Converts and Renames images in batch mode
Supports JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF and JPEG2000
Resize, crop, change color depth, apply color effects, add text, watermark and border effects
Rename images with sequential number
Search and replace texts in the file names
Preview conversion and renaming
Support folder/non-folder structure
Load and save settings
And much more...”

iResizer:

This resizer is unique in that it can change sizes yet exclude parts of an image from the process, something like the “Free Transform” tool in Ps. This is a time limited download.

As always, follow the installation and registration instructions in the zip file.

Combining iResizer with other art programs can really help your image processing.

This is what I have Paint.NET for.  It can do all THAT and so much more.  (Even save as "PSD" [for Photoshop].)

As for iResizer...sounds neat.  That's something Paint.NET can't do.  Is to resize without affecting every pixel.  So it's like...Content Aware Scaling from Photoshop CS4 & 5, but free.

Sounds interesting.
