Ramblings of an old Doc

Hankers sent a nice utility 30 day free availability notification to me (thanks!).

You can get it here: http://www.jpgtopdfconverter.com/giveaway.html

Back in 2009, Po’ Smedley wrote a great post about “A Picture is Worth 1,000 Words”.

As it turns out, a picture from your digital camera reveals a good deal of data: Where and when photographed, etc. Not always info you wish to share, at any rate.

At giveawayoftheday, a good metadata stripper is being well, given away.

I suggest you read Po’s article, and pick up the small ‘drag and drop’ exe file he links there, or to give away of the day so that you won’t…. give away data, that is.

Hiya Doc. I have question. Will this utility convert them back? From pdf to jpeg?

Thank you. Doesn't pay to have one without the other.

The easiest way to save a jpg in a PDF is by right clicking on the picture and choosing copy image, then paste it into your favorite image editing software as a new image..

You don't need to install any additional software to do it.

From the answers here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/thread/fc566019-75ff-4f56-b8e9-d1011c3cc0f7

it doesn't seem that's right, CG1.

While it's true that if you right click on a jpg file, the 'save as' menu offers png, and others, but that won't make it a true png file. It's more like a 'rename' as far as I've been led to believe.

Also, if that were true, reviwers would have "revealed" that as fraud...

The fact is that you need software to do that type of conversion.

Have to agree with Doc on this one. I've tried that method and when I went to open it the return was unable to determine  or invalid file extension. Just like a rename.
