Interesting deal for a great product.

But, having read the info, can anyone tell me in plain English what this would give me over the 2010 version I already have? It's just there, working in the background, no issues at all.

Thanks for the link.

Changes in scheduler — added two options:
1. "startup delay", which allows for the running of tasks on a computer start with delay.
2. "retry on failure", which performs several retries to complete a task before it is declared failed;

This makes the upgrade worth it

Bummer. No email to that effect. Maybe due to time zone stuff? They're located in San Jose, CA... you'd have to ask Acronis about it, though.

Just checked my email. Got a second one from Acronis offer good until 10/31 midnight... but the Malwarebytes offer (see OP screenshot) is gone.

I know that doesn't make you feel any better, bud... but at least you know it ain't the size of your feet that did it.

Looks like I picked it up right in time...I got in on the deal yesterday afternoon and the MalwareByte's was still included.

I jumped in last night and the deal was gone oh dog pooh!

Anyway I use MS Security Essentials and MalwareBytes for scanning so no big loss. Still I got a good deal.

And on a related note I currently have just 1 internal WD 1TB Cavier Black Sata 3 HD and I'm thinking what should I do for a backup drives. Saw a 1TB Verbatim USB 3 drive with 7 year limited warranty considering it.

Any other suggestions?

I'd say look for your deals on Newegg. They have ratings... and you can always get a quickopinion here on the site... I'm not the hdd expert but starkers knows a good deal, BDBF and he has a heart of gold. Other people's gold ( ) what with him being the Cap'n.

The other good resource are the gamers since many of them build their own machines... pop over to Elementals Forum and ask... they won't bite. Much.
