Windows Secrets is making a nice offer to go along with subscribing to their emailed newsletter.

You get one chapter of “Windows 7 For Dummies” free.

This month it’s a chapter that interests folks here at WC a good deal, “Fighting Viruses and Other Scum” (Chapter 5) as a free download.

This chapter teaches how antivirus products work with your Operating System and how to use them.

If you don’t like the site or the newsletter, you can always unsubscribe.

I looked at their Privacy Policy and it’s good.

If you already have XP mode (Windows 7 virtual PC) installed then you do not need to install 2007.

The only reason you would want  to run 2007 is if you have a system that's not capable of hardware virtualization.

Or are you referring to Virtual Desktops, Uvah?

on Jan 29, 2011

Not virtual desktops Doc. I wanted to know more about using the XP mode but it isn't on the home premium version. Only on the Pro and Ultimate version of Win7. I have the Pro version on disk, 64 bit. If I could use XP mode than installing XP, I have that on disk too, SP2, wouldn't be necessary. I was going to do a dual boot but the XP version I have is 32 bit and won't work on my laptop.
